Equipment
for the Nuclear Power Industry: The ICS-4000 Radionuclide Identifier
You
manage radiation protection and control monitoring
processes at your plant. You need equipment to identify
numerous radioactive contaminants found during outage surveys
and in the waste stream. The ICS-4000 Radionuclide Identifier
provides the information required for regulatory and
environmental compliance activities.
Radiation Protection
Equipped
with a built in library of 160 radioactive isotopes, the ICS-4000
is the preferred tool for the nuclear power industry. The ICS-4000
automatically identifies radioactive materials and provides audible
alarms.
The ICS-4000
can be used to check shipping containers against manifest paperwork.
In addition, the device can identify radioactive materials in waste,
air filters and wipes, including short lived isotopes found at reactors
and nuclear power plants. The ICS-4000 is an effective tool to identify
unknown radiological materials released by spills or accidents, or
found in NORM waste.
High Background Operation
The ICS-4000
is an ideal instrument for locating contamination. The alarming rate
meter offers the best dynamic range for a hand-held unit. Depending
on the energy of the source material, the ICS-4000 can measure and
report from microR (µR) per hour to several Rad per
hour field strengths in real time.
The directional
detector effectively locates surface contaminated objects and identifies
hot particles. The ICS-4000 can reliably identify radioactive materials
in backgrounds as high as 350 milliR per hour.
Remote Monitoring
Identify
dangerous radioactive materials from a distance with the ICS-4000e.
This model can be equipped with the XP-4 submersible probe on a cable
up to 500’.
Extension
poles and collimators are available to enhance the utility of the ICS-4000/XP-4
probe system.
