Equipment
for Environmental Cleanup: The ICS-4000 Radionuclide Identifier
You
have a contaminated environmental management (EM) site
to clean up that contains buildings, tanks, wells and acres of soil.
You need sophisticated gamma spectroscopy equipment to locate
and identify numerous radioactive contaminants. The ICS-4000
Radionuclide Identifier provides the information required to
characterize EM sites before, during and after clean-up activities.
The
Award Winning ICS-4000 Radionuclide Identifier is the best instrument
for the detection of radioactive material in the field. This rugged and
easy-to-use instrument operates in hot radioactive zones as well as through
rapid full temperature changes.
An extensive
radionuclide library of 160 isotopes is the most comprehensive available
and includes all contaminants found at DOE environmental management
sites. The ICS-4000 automatically identifies and classifies mixed radioactive
isotopes into Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material (NORM), Medical
Radioactive Isotopes, Industrial Radioactive Isotopes and Special Nuclear
Material (SNM).
The ICS-4000
is also a microR and survey meter. The alarming rate meter offers the
most accurate dynamic range for a hand-held unit, measuring from microRem
(µR/hr) or high milliRem (mR/hr) field
strengths within 10%, meeting the requirements of ANSI 323A-1997.
Identify
dangerous radioactive materials from a distance with the ICS-4000e.
This model can be equipped with the XP-4 submersible probe on
a cable up to 500’. This model was custom designed for the DOE Mound Site
for radiological surveys in pipes, thanks and water bodies.
Extension
poles and collimators are available to enhance the utility of the ICS-4000/XP-4
probe system.
